Nicollette Sheridan

Nicollette Sheridan is an actress who was born on November 21st 1963 in Sussex, England. She is the daughter of British actress Sally Sheridan, they immigrated to the United States of America in 1973. Telly Savalas was her step father and godfather, but she always considered him as her real father. She has a half brother, named Nick Savalas, his father was Telly Savalas. Sheridan is of Greek and Punjabi Indian descent. She speaks fluent Greek. She is a vegetarian and has been horse-riding since the age of three. She has been engaged to Michael Bolton and also to Niklas Söderblom.

Sheridan began her acting career in 1984 in the soap opera “Paper Dolls” where she played Taryn Blake, a teenage model. Paper Dolls was an American prime time soap opera set in New York’s fashion industry. The show centered on the head of a top modeling agency, Morgan Fairchild, her conflicts with the family of a cosmetics tycoon, Lloyd Bridges, and the careers of two teenage models.

Sheridan’s breakthrough role came in “Knots Landing” in 1986 as Paige Matheson. Knots Landing followed the lives of several families living in a small California town. She won the 1990 Soap Opera Award for “Outstanding Lead Actress: Prime Time” and the 1991 Soap Opera Digest Award for “Outstanding Heroine: Prime Time”.

Knots Landing ended in 1993 and Sheridan appeared in several movies, among which were “Spy Hard” and “Beverley Hills Ninja”. She also auditioned for the role of Grace Adler in the comedy “Will and Grace” but she lost the part to Debra Messing. In 2004 Sheridan found new fame in her role as Edie Britt in “Desperate Housewives”. She originally auditioned for the part of Bree van de Kamp. She was nominated for a 2005 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and was named number forty eight on Maxim’s 2006 List. In February 2009 Sheridan announced her departure from Desperate Housewives. Her exit episode aired in April 2009 when Edie Britt was killed off in the series. Nicollette Sheridan is set to star in an upcoming CBS comedy series as a mother who does battle with her British ex-husband in order to get her teenage daughter to stardom.

Sheridan is quoted as saying that she believes most actor’s success in Hollywood is due to being in the right place at the right time, with the right look.
