Who doesn’t love a good cookie? The smell of cookies in the oven bring back childhood memories for many adults. The scrumptious smells will warm a home. Peanut butter cookies are the best but when you make them chocolate chip peanut butter cookies they are even better!
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies
This recipe will make about 36 cookies
You will need:
One and a half cups of all purpose flour
A half a teaspoon of baking soda
A half a teaspoon of cinnamon
A half a teaspoon of salt
One teaspoon of vanilla extract
Two sticks of soft butter
A half a cup of sugar
A half a cup of brown sugar
A half a cup of chopped peanuts
Two cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
A half a cup of creamy peanut butter
In a small bowl mix your flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. In a large mixing bowl mix the butter, both sugars, and peanut butter until smooth. Then add the egg and vanilla. Slowly mix in the flour mixture. Finally stir in the peanuts and chocolate chips. You will want to heat the oven to 375 degrees.
On an ungreased baking sheet you will place drops of the mixture using a tablespoon. Then flatten the drops into circles. Place the cookie sheet into the oven and bake for about ten minutes. Let them cool for about five minutes. Gently use a spatula to slide the cookies off the baking sheet. Serve warm with a glass of milk, yum! Your entire family will delight in this treat as you not only bake a delicious snack for them but create warm fuzzy memories that touch all of their senses. Remember to allow your children to participate in making the cookies and licking the bowl.
