Jennifer Connelly was born on December 12, 1970. Her life consisted of being a model in her earlier years and acting for the rest of her years.
Although Connelly was born in Catskill Mountains, New York, she spent most of her time growing up in Brooklyn Heights, which was next to the Brooklyn Bridge. While living in Brooklyn Heights, Connelly attended a private school St. Anns, except for four years, when her family had spent in Woodstock, New York.
While Connelly was growing up, her father who happens to be Gerard Connelly, a clothing manufacturer for the garment industry, suggested that she do some modeling and that is how her whole career begin. At the age of ten, Connelly begin working as a model for various newspaper and magazine ads.
Then she began her acting career, starring in films like; “Once Upon A Time In America,” which was her first acting job and was filmed in 1982, when Connelly was eleven years old. Then it was an Italian horror film, which was “Argento‘s Phenomena in 1985. Then she starred in “Labyrinth,” where she played a teenager, who makes a wish to send her brother in at world full of goblins, to only later find that she is needing to rescue him. According to the Box Office, this was a major disappointment for the young actor.

-2001 biopic, “A Beautiful Mind.” (This is were she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and also another award as BAFTA and the Golden Globe Awards.)

-1988 filmed in a movie called “Some Girls.”
-1990 another great movie, “The Hot Spot.”
-1991 she was in the Disney budget film “The Rocketeer,” which eventually turned out to be a failure.
Also in 1991, Connelly was a feature on the cover of the “Esquire.”
-Connelly was also seen in a music video with Roy Osbourne, performing to “I Drove All Night,” in 1992
After she finished high school, Connelly knew that she would need to juggle her life as a student and an actor, but she decided to attend Yale University majoring in English, then finally transferring to Stanford University.
Only after a brief break from having unsuccessful films Connelly only starred in films with small roles. Such as:
-1997 “Inventing the Abbotts”
-2000 “Waking the Dead”
In 2000 things begin to get better for Connelly and she begin to get into better movies such as:
-2000 film where she played the role of a Drug Addict, in the film Requiem for a Dream.”
-2001 “A Beautiful Mind,” where she was a wife to a schizophrenic mathematician. Which became a great success, where she earned a Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The words of Time Magazine were, “Luminous.”
-A sci-fi film “The Day the Earth Stood Still.” She played in this film with Keanu Reeves.
-2009 film she played a role with her husband Paul Bettany, in the film “Creation.”
-2009 film, “He’s just not that in to you.”
After all her acting jobs, her most recent job ever was being named the face of Balenciaga’s ads and the new face of Revlon Cosmetics.
Besides her acting career, Connelly is also a mother of two boys; Kai who was born in 1997, from her ex who is a photographer David Dugan and her other son Stellan born on August 5, 2003 the son of her now husband, the actor Paul Bettany. Bettany she met while working on the film A Beautiful Mind.
