Mayim Bialik is a celebrity and so much more in depth than many may know about. It is not often when doing a celebrity profile that you find such hidden treasures, but there are many in Mayim’s celebrity life.
Mayim (which means water in Hebrew) Hoya Bialik was born December 12th, 1975 in San Diego, California. She has brown hair, brown eyes and is 5’ 4’. She is the proud mother of two sons, Miles Roosevelt Bialik Stone and Frederick Heschel Bialik Stone. She is the author of Beyond the Sling. Mayim has a Phd in Neuroscience. Clearly, she is more than a childhood actress that has a very long filmography list. It is probably worth noting.
Often times Mayim plays a face in the crowd or support role. It is truly amazing the number of parts she has played that are less known than her series “Blossom” and the current sitcom where she is an established character “The Big Bang Theory”. She began with The Facts of Life in 1977. She played small roles on very popular shows of the era like Murphy Brown, MacGyver, Pumpkinhead, and Doogie Howser, M.D all before her series “Blossom”
Those people who loved the sentimental movie “Beaches” will probably remember the small child CC who was the young girl. Although Mayim has a very strong singing voice, they used another singer in that movie who sounded more like a young Bette Midler. Still, the long curls and sad face bring on the tears as much of the movie did.
Her parents made sure that Miss Bialik was well grounded and got her school work done. She was offered a scholarship to Harvard, but chose to stay home and get her degree in California.
Clearly as a child her most popular success was the show Blossom. She has also had an amazing run on The Big Bang Theory, where she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Support Actress in a Comedy Series.
Maybe more importantly in her personal life she has stayed true to her values and strong. Through a divorce she and her estranged husband were able to use mediation and put the kids first and preserve healthy family relationships and ties.
She is a great author, actor, mother and person. Mayim for some will always be Blossom and now for others be Amy Farrah Fowler, but the role she does best is Mom.
